Dentsply Sirona Primescan, Prime Mill, and Prime Print

Dentsply Sirona Primescan, Prime Mill, and Prime Print are a trio of advanced dental technology products designed to provide accurate, efficient, and precise dental restorations. Primescan is a digital intraoral scanner that captures precise 3D images of a patient’s teeth and surrounding oral structures, while Prime Mill is a state-of-the-art milling machine that produces high-quality dental restorations such as crowns, bridges, and implant abutments. Prime Print is a 3D printer that allows dental professionals to quickly and accurately create surgical guides, aligners, and other dental appliances.

DIGITAL X-RAYS

With the latest technology in direct digital X-rays, we can see immediately the X-ray we take. In addition, digital X-rays need fractionally less radiation exposure than traditional X-rays and are far superior in the details of the image.

ZOOM WHITENING

Gentle yet effective! Philips Zoom Blue LED light-accelerated technology and gel whitens rapidly while Amorphous Calcium Phosphate (ACP) helps deliver enamel protection, improve lustre and reduce sensitivity. The Zoom whitening procedure takes about 45-60 minutes but is broken up into three 15-minute sessions. After each session, more whitening gel will be added to your teeth before the LED light is turned back on. You can relax or listen to music during the sessions to pass the time.

SOFT TISSUE DIODE LASER

Lasers for soft tissue treatments are available at varying powers and wavelengths and can be used for procedures that would otherwise be performed using electrosurgery or a scalpel. Laser dentistry generates very little or zero heat and is a gentler surgery. When used correctly, dental lasers enable soft tissue to be effectively, precisely and safely removed, and no stitches are required due to hemostasis. Uses for soft tissue lasers include: Cold sore treatment, gingivectomies and periodontal treatments, frenectomies, ablating and removing aphthous ulcers, gingival contouring, crown lengthening, troughing, soft tissue incisions, and removing soft tissue lesions. Soft tissue removal is exact and predictable, and the pen style holder provides good visibility.

INTRAORAL CAMERA WITH LUM

This small camera allows for up-close macro images of your teeth, it can show us cracks in the teeth that are hard to see with the naked eye. When combined with the LUM feature it allows us to see inside the tooth in a different dimension then X-rays so we can be very thorough with our treatment planning.

LATEST IN STERILIZATION EQUIPMENT

For many years now, Alberta dentists have been legislated into a higher standard level of sterilization by the Alberta Government and the Alberta Dental Association. Our office was one of the first to volunteer to be reviewed and qualified under the new standards. We follow the Alberta Dental Association sterilization guidelines to the highest degree. Everything is packaged in one-use sterilization pouches that are marked with the date and cycle. We have 2 Midmark class B sterilizers, which meet the strictest standards of sterilization with printed cycle reports for tracking. These sterilizers are tested daily using biological indicators, indicating the sterilization process’s effectiveness. In addition, each load/package is monitored by mechanical and chemical testing so we can ensure 100% effective sterilization every time. We take your health and care very seriously.

Our system MaxAssist will give you polite digital reminders by text or email when you are due for your dental appointment. It also allows you to confirm appointments with us with the click of a button on your smartphone, intended for your ease. Of course, if you prefer the more traditional phone call approach, we are happy to accommodate that as well.
